The Guitarists Association “Música Abierta” launches the “Ciutat d’Elx” Guitar Festival for another year with the idea of bringing guitar music to as many people as possible.
Concerts
Every night we have a concert by an artist or group invited to our festival. Sometimes, they are our competition winners or the competition winners of festivals that we collaborate with. Other times, it is our teachers who demonstrate their immense artistic quality. At our Festival every night is magical thanks to the guitar and the Masters who play it.
Courses, conferences and workshops
In parallel, the XXIV «Ciutat d’Elx» Guitar Festival organizes specialized courses taught by prestigious professors at the Cardenal Herrera CEU University in Elx.
Interpretation competitions
During the «Ciutat d’Elx» Guitar Festival, three guitar performance competitions will be held: The Calendura Contest in which solo guitarists who are under 20 years of age may participate. The Ciutat d’Elx Contest for solo guitarists with no age limit. The Chamber Music with Guitar competition in which all duos, trios or quartets that include the guitar can participate, except for groups with piano and without age limit.
